Polish top duo move to final

14.07.2024 - Vienna

The duos Bryl/Łosiak and Grimalt/Grimalt, who qualified for the Olympic Games in Paris, met in the semi-finals, with the Poles coming out on top in straight sets. The motivation of both teams cannot be overlooked, both are visibly nervous and are trying to play their way into the final.

Even before the first service, the spectators are in a fantastic mood! Poland shows no mercy and takes the lead right at the start of the set with a strong attack. The Grimalt/Grimalt cousins do not let up, but are unable to take the lead. Poland is unstoppable and finally takes the set ball with a strong attack.

The Polish duo also took the first points in the second set. After a minor injury to the eye and a medical timeout, Grimalt/Grimalt score a few points. However, Bryl/Łosiak came back twice as strong with powerful serves and made virtually no mistakes. A tough battle for Chile, but Poland is stronger. They keep winning points and therefore also the match point!

This puts Bryl/Łosiak in the final of the A1 Beach Pro Vienna. Their opponent will be decided in the match between Ehlers/Wickler and Mol/Sørum.
