Set number 1 developed into a duel between Mol and Benesh, who thrilled the crowd in the packed Red Bull Beach Arena with points worth seeing. Although it looked close at first, the Norwegian duo eventually prevailed 21-17.
In the second set, the Beach Vikings leave nothing to chance and storm into the semifinals unbeaten with a clear 21-16 - where they will face Germany's top duo Ehlers/Wickler. The A1 Beach Pro Vienna thus promises another duel between two Olympic-qualified top duos.
