Müller/Tillmann have remained unbeaten in the tournament so far, eliminating last year's European Championship runners-up Álvarez/Moreno and Austrian fan favorites Klinger/Klinger on their way to the final - and also made short work of their final opponents.
The first set in the women's final was a clear affair for the pairing from Germany. Tillmann in particular conquered point after point with a wide repertoire of shots to take the set 21-14. After the break, the Swiss came back onto the court stronger and withstood the German attacking frenzy for long stretches. An outball from Mäder finally sealed the fate of the Swiss duo and secured the title in Vienna for the top German pairing.
Müller/Tillmann have been playing together since 2021 and have already achieved four top ten finishes at Elite 16 events this season alone – this is their second gold at this level after Ostrava 2022.
