Dorina and Ronja Klinger's run of success at the A1 Beach Pro Vienna continues. For the first time, the Austrian women's duo reached the quarterfinals of an Elite16 tournament.
The crowd in the Red Bull Beach Arena, which was already packed in the morning, witnessed a racy first set against the Spanish pairing Álvarez/Moreno, which was completely open for long stretches. Moreno finally secured a 24-22 win for Austria with a net ball.
The second set is also a duel at eye level in which both teams can show their individual skills. After Ronja Klinger manages to fend off the first set point for Spain at 20-17 with a spectacular diagonal attack, the Spaniards ultimately have the better end of the match at 21-18.
The Klinger Sisters got off to a perfect start in set number 3 and came closer to winning the match point by point. When Ronja Klinger fixes the 15-12 with a cut, all floodgates break and the sensation is perfect.
