At the A1 Beach Pro Vienna, Schneider/Kozuch played together for the first time in the Austrian capital, but this did not put them at any disadvantage. They dominated from the very first minute and secured a well-deserved victory.
The German players Sarah Schneider and Margareta Kozuch defeated the Czech players Mokrá and Dunarova with a final score of 2-0 (21-14, 21-17). Although Mokrá/Dunarova showed strong fighting spirit and stamina, it was not enough for the decisive points in the end. This commanding victory saw them qualify for the next round, where they will face Siposova/Terenova.
In a short interview after the match, the German women emphasized that communication is also essential in beach volleyball. The two players also praised the excellent atmosphere in Vienna and the support of the fans, which had given them additional motivation. With this victory, Schneider/Kozuch have sent out a strong signal and are optimistic about the upcoming challenges in the tournament.
