The Czech men's duo Schweiner/Trousil sees no chance against the Swedes Åhman/Hellvig, the European Champions of 2022.
The first set starts surprisingly for the Swedes. The Czech men's duo presents itself strong, secures the first points and takes the lead. But then Åhman/Hellvig find their way into the game more easily. They equalize and the lead changes. From this point on, the 2022 European champions put on a spectacular display in the packed Red Bull Beach Arena, scoring one point after another. The Czech team fights hard, but ultimately in vain. Åhman/Hellvig secure the first set with 21:16.
The second set goes similarly. The Swedish duo is clearly the stronger team. Schweiner/Trousil show fighting spirit and are able to close the gap to the European champions. But their will to win is not enough. They lose the set against Åhman/Hellvig with 15:21 and last year's European champions move into the quarterfinals.
